Do you know Charles Baudelaire? He was a French poet, mainly known for his book called ‘Les fleurs du mal”, translated as “The flowers of Evil” in English. One of his poems called “L’albatros” describes how hard it is for this bird to walk whereas he’s so elegant flying in the sky. We often feel like albatross when we step out of our comfort zone. We feel insecure and uncomfortable, we believe we won’t make it. Although it’s very challenging, we need to overcome our fear if we want to be able to speak another language for example.

In this podcast episode, I’ll share with you how you can do it through a very uncommon comparison : ice skating. I go ice skating once a year and it’s always hard at the begining. Let me tell you why it’s so similar to speaking a new language. Listen to the podcast episode in French now.
